Recent research published has shown that on average, moaning Irish students in the second semester of their final year of college, write nearly 7,500 words through Facebook status updates, complaining about their thesis.
The normal word count for a thesis for an Art’s level degree is between 10,000 and 12,000 words – some courses may differ with smaller word counts required.
The new research has shown a direct correlation between how moany you are and the total amount of words you will write complaining your thesis. The data was collected over 2011-2012 academic year and was published earlier today.
A statement accompanying the research on the CSO’s website stated:
By being frustratingly moany, you actually increase your workload and wind up doing more work than actually necessary- at the same time, pissing off a good deal of people in your newsfeed, causing people to not like you any more The students who complain the most online about their thesis, usually receive a below average grade on their work. They not only lower their chances of finding employment, but also lose friends and wind up becoming depressed loners without a job.
In some cases it was shown the those who moan the most, can wind up doing 75-100% more work than they actually needed to do and lost a large portion of their friends in the process.
