At the weekend, Ryan Daly (28) of Churchtown, Dublin, celebrated his birthday with his girlfriend of three years, Helen Butler at the Towers Hotel, Waterford. Over their romantic dinner on Friday night and with perhaps too much to drink, Ryan suggested to Helen that they “Try and do it twice tonight“. Helen takes up the story.
“I couldn’t believe it when he said it. We’d already had half a bottle of wine each and a steak diner. I could barely move so I had no idea where he thought he was goin to get the energy. I said ‘Ryan…don’t be puttin pressure on yerself. Let’s just see how it goes.’. ‘No!’, he says, ‘We’re doin it twice. You don’t think I can? You’ll see’.
After another bottle of wine each, the couple retired to their room for what Helen half-remembers as “not the best ride I’ve ever had”.
“I think he went into the bathroom to get sick and I fell asleep. I remember something happening after that. It wasn’t unpleasant but it wasn’t anything remarkable. I remember him saying ‘We’re doin it again in a minute when I’ve had a bit of a sleep’. I don’t think either of us woke up again until noon.”.
Ryan when we spoke to him was conciliatory saying “I think my eyes were bigger than my langer if you ye know what I mean. I was locked”.
The couple then shared a muted car journey home with Helen agreeing with him that he would have been capable if it hadn’t of been for the drink, just to shut him up.
I know this man and he is well capable of riding twice in one night. We’ve all been there when we’ve had too much to drink and a lot of food. There’s is absolutely no need to highlight one night of inadequacy #belieber4eva
