Bernard Farrelly (42) of Santry Dublin today thought it was necessary to note to his colleagues at Thomas & Thomas accountants that it was in his opinion, “far too hot”.
Bernard announced over morning break, “Like if I had known it was going to be like this I wouldn’t have worn this jumper into work and not to mention I’ve got my heavy coat with me too.”
Fellow colleague Darragh Lynch (29) agreeing with Bernard proclaimed, “Sure wasn’t the bus shocking. I was sweating like a mad yoke and I could even see my iPhone with the glare off the sun. Disgraceful altogether!”
Mary Doyle (51) on reception and well-known office weather expert told her colleagues, “I read somewhere about Ireland getting the tail end of a hurricane and sure that was probably what did it. We’ll have to get on to Mr. Thomas about the air-con because a woman of my age can’t be working in these conditions and that window is no use. I’ll faint if it continues like this and then where will the reception be.”
Having been vindicated by his fellow workers Bernard continued on to state that “Isn’t it typical that it would happen on a Thursday though. Don’t you know the weekend will be terrible and when it’s like this we’re stuck inside suffering this heat.”
However Susan Daly (22) wasn’t too convinced by her colleagues. She was over-heard grumbling about how chilly the office was with the window open. Mary however responded to comments made by Susan with the advice that she should, “Get a bit of meat on her bones. That would sort her out. She’s far too skinny”
Bernard and Darragh refusing to comment on Susan’s weight instead concluded that they weren’t looking forward to the heat on the bus home and how they are looking forward to a bit of rain.
