A large number of walking contradictions entered the Flora Mini Marathon yesterday in Dublin to help support their charity and improve the levels of hypocrisy found within the country.
Thousands of women took part, many doing so to raise much needed funds for charity organisations based around the country.
A number of participants were taking part to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society. They walked the entire race and made sure to smoke an entire packet of cigarettes on the route too, to ensure that people knew what was the main cause of cancer in Ireland today.
A noble gesture indeed.
Other entrants were raising money for Temple Street Children’s Hospital and after successfully completing the mini marathon, took their toddlers to the smoking areas of many pubs around Dublin. This was apparently done to ensure that their infants were exposed to the harmful toxins from their smoke and will one day actually need the services of the hospital, that are already under severe strain.
All in all a great day was had raising money for many valuable organisations and many women took part showing that sometimes life is just confusing and doesn’t make any sense at all.
