Ever wondered what’s worse than a murdering, drug pushing and socially eroding crime lord in Ireland? A woman, who has been subjected to a traumatic, sexual assault often stemming from incest.
Although drug dealers bring their violent feuds into the streets and often claim the lives of innocent bystanders, the government has now determined that women who have been raped and seek a termination of the resulting pregnancy, are in fact a greater danger to society.
Although they don’t have guns, or knives, or organised criminal gangs tormenting communities on a daily basis, the government has decided that they are in fact more dangerous and repulsive members of the public.
Drug dealing in Ireland has destroyed many communities and placed a massive strain on already struggling public services, including An Garda Síochána, customs and the health service.
Although it carries with it a potential jail sentence of 10 years, a women who gets an abortion in Ireland can face up to 14 years, as obviously, taking steps in her own personal life to come to terms with a massively emotional and traumatic incident (like being raped by a family member), places a greater threat to Irish people and she should be placed behind bars.
Many can rest easy tonight knowing that the actions taken by some women, that have no impact whatsoever on anyone else in the country, will be punished. Harshly.
No longer will Ireland stand for criminal women who are torturing and intimidating other members of society on a daily basis.
These women are more dangerous than crime lords and pose such a massive threat to the stability of the nation that they must be stopped and thankfully, this legislation paves the way for justice to prevail.
