The Vodafone Comedy Festival recently launched their very own stage school to help people become qualified and certified comedians.
The move comes to try and help people retrain and develop a new set of skills that will make them more employable in the current economic environment.
Speaking earlier Minister for Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton commented on the initiative saying:
“Retraining is key to help get more people back to work. Educating people in the field of comedy is a fantastic innovation and will work very well since this country is a fucking joke anyway, along with those in power trying to do something about it!
The stage school offers people a post graduate certificate in stand up comedy and access to an online booking forum on Facebook called Rent-a-Comic, where comedians get booked for gigs and learn about ways they can further their career.
