She’s done it again! Amanda Brunker will be playing Oxegen this year, this time headlining the newly launched Social Welfare Tent!
The Social Welfare tent, which is being sponsored by Devil’s Bit Cider, will see a host of activities and events run in it over the weekend.
The tent will be fitted out with specially designed park benches where people can pass out on and will include a small playground that punters will be able to vandalise too.
Free phones will be provided so that once the vandals are finished, they can call the FM104 phoneshow and complain about the lack of facilities that they have.
The tent will also be the main hub for people to collect dole payments – which will come in the form of drinks vouchers and betting slips – and will also be used for those who need to sign on once a day with the Gardaí.
Organisers thought Brunker was the perfect fit to headline the tent, as she has a long history of promoting and glamorising alcohol through her books and her deluded sense of entitlement and overall lack of discernible talent, really fits in with the mental capacity and profile of the people who will use the tent the most.
Brunker played Oxegen in 2011 and really left people confused and wondering why the fuck she was there. This confusion and sense of hopelessness in life is what the Devil’s Bit Social Welfare Tent is all about and Brunker will help bring that to the forefront.
Oxegen runs this bank holiday weekend and if you’re going, make sure to check out the 3 videos you must watch to make sure you have the best and safest time possible!
