News today has emerged that Minister for Education Ruairi Quinn has developed the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
The news comes after the Minister proposes more cuts to college grants and increases in fees – something he forgot he pledged not to do.
Medical staff initially thought that the Minister was just being a lying asshole, but it appears now that after numerous tests, Quinn can’t even remember signing a pledge not to increase third level fees.
Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common form of dementia and unfortunately there’s no cure for it. It’s gets worse with age and this has been demonstrated in Minister Quinn, as he continues to attack third level fees and grants after promising publicly not to. Something that makes no sense at all.
His brain is degrading slowly and his ability to think logically and intelligently greatly reduced – his current condition has left him believing that paying for thousands of people on the dole because they can’t afford college, is a better situation for the country to be in, rather than keep their grants and fees as they are.
Numerous people have expressed their sympathy for the Minister and apologised for attacking him for his complete u-turn with regard to fees and third level grants. They realise now that it’s not him, it’s a crippling medical disease making him think and act in an illogical and degenerative fashion.
