A 30 year old man, Patrick Reilly, who has been openly complaining about the government and the upcoming referendum, probably wont bother voting this Friday.
The man who has been making ill-informed comments about the role of the Seanad has been airing his opinion about the referendum at every moment he can. His outbursts have also gotten worse after last night’s debate, which has now led to him repeat quotes he heard Miriam O’Callaghan make.
At one point he was heard by friends and family as saying “That’s all we have time for tonight, thanks so much for joining us”.
Patrick is part of the majority of Irish people, who enjoy viciously complaining about the state of the country, yet don’t actually bother their hole to do anything about it. For all his apparent concerns for “concentrated power”, the only thing that will be concentrated on Friday come voting time, will be his fat arse down in his local, ensuring his quota of weekly pints is met.
When Patrick was asked about his opinion on the proposed court of appeals that people are voting on as well, he just glazed over and went on an aggravated rant about the Irish banking bailout.
Although polling stations will be open until 10pm, people are being reminded that Kevin Dundon’s Modern Irish Food is on RTE One at 20:30, Iron Man is on RTE Two at 21:00 and America’s Got Talent is on 3E from 19:00.
