Gardaí are appealing for people in the Clonee region of Co. Meath to check to see if they are missing an arm.
An arm was found in an area know as The Mayne, which is on the Dublin/Meath border and test results, which were handed to the Gardaí, indicate that the arm belongs to a man.
Officials have not yet been able to point out exactly who’s arm it is and they are appealing to the public to help them put a finger on the exact person who is missing the limb.
Specialist teams have had to knuckle down over the last 24 hours and DNA samples have been taken to try and nail down the person’s identity.
Men in the area are being urged to check to see if they do in fact still have both of their arms on them. Gardaí in Ashbourne are also asking people to get in touch if they notice anyone who may not have both of their arms.
