“We’re shocked and to be honest it’s not something that we have ever dealt with before”, these were the words of Phil Stewart  CEO of Irish dating site, “Last Chance Saloon” when quizzed on the shocking revelation that a new user told the truth on his on-line profile.

29 year old Leitrim based man Cormac O’Shea was at the centre of an on-line controversy last night after being outed as the ‘weirdo’ who told the truth on his on-line dating profile.

Commenting on the controversy O Shea said:

“I know everyone says that this is the first time trying on-line dating on their profile whilst their secretly registered to every site going for me it was genuinely my first time”.

‘I just told the truth I’m 5”8 and that’s what  I put down’ ‘ I’m average build so I didn’t put down athletically toned like some of my mates suggested ,  and that’s when things started to get out of hand’.

Mr O’Shea said he asked friends for advice when setting up his profile. Speaing to The Potato he said:

“One of my mates The Bear– we call him that because he look a bit like a bear…. Anyway he showed me his profile, its complete fiction. He put down that he works in the movie business-like he used to work in Xtravision, that’s a bit of a stretch. His profile picture is a really old Marty Whelan publicity shot from like the 70’s or something, still  to be fair he gets a lot of interest”.

Last Chance Saloon banned O’Shea from the sight when they became aware of his outrageous behaviour.

“We have to protect our brand at all times, we’re very protective of our product’ said Mr Stewart in a really wanky marketing voice that makes people want to punch him.”

Explaining what initially drew him to the site Mr O’Shea said:

“Well I was seeing a girl for about two years and she wanted to move in together and I just felt I was a bit young to make such a commitment ,I mean  I’m 46 I don’t need that type of pressure”.

Mr O’Shea said he will use more traditional methods of meeting  someone in the future after this setback:

“I’ll just get absolutely torched and leer at women in the nightclub and hope to get off with one of two of them and maybe  after getting  the ride will find out a bit about her if I’m bothered.”
