2016 has gotten off to a sensational start for Dublin model Holly Carpenter as she lands herself an amazing book publishing deal.
Her weekly Dublin Diary in The Herald has caught the eye of CJ Fallon, the publishers of the legendary Ann and Barry books and they have offered her a lucrative deal to bring the children’s series back!
No Brainer
The publishers have decided to bring back the Ann and Barry children’s book series after seeing the amazing talent Carpenter showed in the national newspaper.
With prose like “The next day we went on a boat party. We had a full BBQ and listened to music and jumped into the sea”, CJ Fallon said they knew she’d be the perfect voice of the new series of books aimed at 8-10 year olds.
Learning that Holly’s parents have also stuck some of the diaries on the fridge in the kitchen, sealed the deal for the publishers.
Illustrations
Book publishers are excited about getting one of Ireland’s top models involved in the nostalgic book series and have handed her total creative control. All illustrations will be designed by Carpenter, like this one she did yesterday:
Sources close to the model say she would have added in more sky, but got the blue crayon stuck up her nose.
The new series of books should be available summer 2016.
